With 'Ascendant Soles,' I sought to distill the raw power and allure inherent in the stiletto high heel, elevating it to an almost architectural form. My vision was to create a piece that commanded attention, much like the wearer of such formidable footwear. I meticulously sculpted the thick impasto of the canvas, building up layers to emphasize the exaggerated platforms and the precarious yet exhilarating height of these pleaser-style heels. The deep, glossy black patent leather finish is brought to life with vibrant, almost electric, reflections of blues and purples, giving the surface a hypnotic shine that draws the eye into its depths. This piece is a celebration of fetish art, focusing on the unapologetic dominance and sensual curves of these iconic shoes, set against a stark, ethereal background. It's a statement about confidence, control, and the undeniable seductive silhouette that only a true stiletto heel can embody.
