I created 'Obsidian Ascent' as an ode to the undeniable allure of the stiletto boot. My vision was to capture the sheer power and dominance inherent in these iconic symbols of fetish art. Through thick impasto oil paint, I sculpted the glossy patent leather, making the surface almost tangible, reflecting light with aggressive, almost blinding highlights of white, sky blue, and lavender. The platform heel elevates the wearer, creating an imposing silhouette that commands attention. Every brushstroke is deliberate, emphasizing the curvaceous form and the dangerous elegance of the extreme heel. This piece delves into the dark, seductive mystique that only a truly exceptional stiletto can embody, inviting the viewer to contemplate its inherent erotic energy and architectural grace.
