With 'Obsidian Straps,' I delved deep into the fetish allure of footwear, capturing the undeniable magnetism of stiletto high heels bound with intricate strapping. My vision was to create a piece that wasn't just seen, but felt, hence the application of sculptural impasto that gives the canvas a tactile, almost skin-like quality. I was particularly drawn to the way the glossy patent leather of the heels and accompanying latex trousers reflects light, creating shimmering highlights that emphasize the sensual curves of the foot and leg. The delicate yet firm embrace of the straps highlights the vulnerability and strength inherent in the arch of the foot, a focal point of erotic tension. This artwork is a celebration of power and dominance, a tribute to the raw elegance found in bound elegance and the tantalizing gleam of reflective surfaces, all rendered with an air of erotic sophistication.
