To own this work is to possess a moment of stillness amidst the chaos of sensation. As I applied these dense, unapologetic strokes, I was thinking of the way the arch defines the line of the leg, creating a sharp, dangerous poetry. There is an undeniable electrifying tension embedded in these ridges of paint.
