With 'Scarlet Dominion,' I aimed to capture the visceral allure and commanding presence of the stiletto high heel. My vision was to create a piece that vibrates with sensual energy and undeniable power. I employed thick impasto oil paint to build up the intricate textures, from the subtle sheen of sheer hosiery caressing the leg to the gleaming scarlet patent leather of the shoe itself. The play of light and shadow, highlighted by strokes of lustrous gold, accentuates the exquisite curve of the arch of the foot and the delicate tension of the fingers. This painting is a deep dive into the foot fetish aesthetic, celebrating the erotic symbolism and dominant appeal that stilettos embody. It's a tribute to the raw, untamed beauty of this iconic object, inviting the viewer into a world of pure, unadulterated obsession. I wanted every stroke to convey the intense tactile experience, making the viewer feel the weight, the texture, the undeniable allure of the heel and the skin.
